Wheels bus route changes

Student said the rerouted 602 bus forces students to walk 15-20 minutes and nearly a mile home from the Zone 7 building stop.

Foothill High sophomore cited a survey of 60 students and parents and proposed adding a smaller 602C route through Parkside and consolidating stops.

Grandmother said her grandchildren now walk 25 minutes each morning after the Martin Avenue stop vanished.

Parent said overcrowded buses are a safety issue, more parents driving increases school traffic, and asked the council to take it seriously.
